1. Resting your Hands/ Wrists 2.Taking regular breaks from the computer B) There are sometimes safety risks associated with computers. Describe two ways these risks can be minimalised. 1. Run Less intensive programs so your computer doesn't overheat 2. Don't eat or drink near your computer HS2 A) Describe two health issues other than RSI, caused by prolonged use of computer. For each health issue give a method of prevention. Headaches and eye strain and to prevent it you can clean your screen and take breaks. Another is Neck and back pain which can be prevented by taking regular breaks and moving around to not stiffen up. HS3 A) Give two ICT Devices which, when prolonged, can cause RSI. 1. Keyboard 2. Joystick B) Identify two safety issues and how they are caused. 1. Overloaded power sockets are caused by having two many sockets in One tower. 2. Tripping on cables which is caused by having cables in the open. HS3. A) Describe how these health problems can arise due to the use of computers. Give a different cause for each RSI in the Fingers: Using a mouse too much RSI in the Wrists: Using a Keyboard for an extended period of time. Headaches: Dirty Screens can cause headaches Back pain: Bad Posture can cause packpain
